DESCRIPTION

The Role:

AIS (AWS Infrastructure Services) is looking for a Supply Chain Automation PM to be responsible for working across many high visible product areas. As a member of the AIS Supply Chain team, you will be at the forefront of this organizational capability to increase our understanding of supply chain risks within our products. The Supply Chain Resiliency team is responsible for identifying risks to avoid disruptions of product delivery by building a framework that anticipates, identifies, and mitigates high priority risks with action plans. As a resiliency PM, you are a builder at heart on mechanisms, systems and automation. You use data to drive decisions, determine areas to improve or to build and innovate a new capability. You are a strong product manager with deep experience in the new product development process, and are a seasoned hardware (HW) supply chain expert. We are looking for a candidate with proven program or product management experience, analytical capabilities, strong persuasive written and verbal skills, and the tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key job responsibilities
– Deliver outcomes by working closely with the engineering and supply chain teams to drive change, leverage data, build tools, and improve our resiliency mechanisms.
– Develop working scalable mechanisms to identify, prioritize, and support teams to mitigate product and supply chain risks.
– Own risk mitigation program communication, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers, escalating as appropriate.
– Support process improvements, best practice sharing, and standardization across all AWS to deliver every time for our customers.
– Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects and using this data to drive/influence business decisions
– Curate data sources that enable at-scale identification & prioritization supply chain risks
– Partner with procurement & supply teams to develop action plans for supplier-level risks
– Build self-service reporting tools and dashboards
– Ensure risk identification, actions, and closures at product reviews.
– A trusted partner with cross-functional teams in IT, vendor services, legal, supplier governance, GCM, PLM, and engineering teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Operations, or equivalent of 5+ years of related experience.
– 5+ years of program or project management experience.
– 5+ years of experience in HW product management and/or in HW supply chain.
– 5+ years of end-to-end product delivery experience.
– 5+ years of experience in building and driving adoption of new tools, process, change management.
– 5+ years of experience in owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating strategies and results to senior leadership.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Masters, MBA, or advanced degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations preferred.
– Significant experience in the product development lifecycle.
– Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and users.
– Experience in configuration management.
– Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
– Experience in product, supplier risk or business continuity planning.
– Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
– Experience in data analytics, regression modeling, large language models (LLM)
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Proven track record of operational excellence, managing and delivering outcomes.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $83,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
