DESCRIPTION
Are you driven to accelerate how software companies innovate to meet the needs for government and educators? Do you have a knack for using data to spot trends before others see them? If you answered yes to both, join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Product Acceleration (PA) team. We work with software companies to help them launch new products more quickly.
As an Engagement Strategist on the PA team, you will be our expert on what Chief Product Officers (CPOs) and product leaders care about. In other words, we are counting on you to correctly discern where AWS can provide the most value to CPOs to win their attention and help them accelerate their innovation roadmaps. You will find and dive deep into data sources outside AWS (e.g., third-party industry whitepapers) and across AWS to extract the right takeaways. This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with PA colleagues, account teams, domain experts, AWS Field Marketing, and more. Your work will supply the themes and narratives to fill customer events, public assets, and internal repositories with inspiring customer examples, expert voices, and compelling storylines.
The ideal candidate can connect disparate sources to find common trends and develop strategies to maximize business outcomes. The candidate should have the ability to evaluate use cases, patterns, and best practices that enable them to develop forward-thinking initiatives. They excel at communicating ideas through writing, leveraging data to justify clear, succinct recommendations to drive cross-team alignment. They are focused on measurable outcomes such as opportunity creation, and they obsess over customer feedback to drive continuous improvement. The candidate should be open to new challenges, excited by ambiguity and change, and able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key job responsibilities
– Identify the trends that will engage product leaders by collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data from AWS experts, customer wins, and third-party sources.
– Design and execute strategies where there are opportunities to drive novel conversations and insights (e.g., first-party surveys and research).
– Catch compelling wins and anecdotes and find the right teams and channels to broadcast them to product leaders.
– Write compelling, data-driven narratives around your big bets to gain alignment with AWS account and industry teams.
– Work with AWS Field Marketing to incorporate your insights into the marketing plan by providing storylines for digital assets, identifying speakers for events, and supporting initiatives that Marketing is driving.
– Use data and feedback to understand what is resonating with customers to optimize areas of focus.
