DESCRIPTION

Amazon seeks a Senior Program Manager to drive new initiatives and program launches for the Amazon Delivery Central Operations team, specializing in integrating the roadmap for AMXL (Amazon’s extra-large delivery service). The Senior Program Manager will be a key member of strategic initiatives that will continue to improve last-mile processes to scale for rapidly increasing volume and complexity and support our Delivery Service Provider (DSP) partners and their delivery drivers.

Key job responsibilities
– Acts as the single-threaded leader in Central Operations for the AMXL (Amazon Extra-Large) delivery business
– Leads the strategic pilot and program roadmap for routing and scheduling functions, system configurations, and capacity planning
– Partners cross-functionally to achieve consensus on program design while balancing cost, quality, and speed metrics
– Communicates effectively through verbal and written documentation, driving adoption of ideas and initiatives
– Analyzes root causes of operational defects and determines long-term solutions
– 5-10% travel (average of once a month to team meetings, stakeholder meetings, or site visits)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years of program or project management experience
– Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
– Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
– Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
– Experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management
– Strong written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– MBA
– 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
– Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
– Experience with SQL
