Key job responsibilities
– Serve as the key business partner working directly with AWS senior management and other internal stakeholders to lead revenue planning and reporting and provide financial recommendations.
– Build financial models for new business concepts, pricing decisions, make analytical judgments, and provide data intensive analyses to drive meaningful change.
– Present financial summary and business insights to the business and finance leadership.
– Develop and standardize financial reporting package.
– Build processes and controls as the business grows.
– Drive continuous improvements in profitability, free cash flow, and operational efficiency.
About the team
This role will work closely with finance management as well as key business partners across the AWS organization, including Product Managers, Engineers and GMs, to drive thoughtful analysis and controllership. This role requires a self-starter and independent individual with strong financial modeling abilities, problem solving skills, attention to details, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
– Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
– Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
– Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
– Experience working with stakeholders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
– 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
