In this role, you will facilitate and manage the development lifecycle for the TPX org, manage the delivery of various technical solutions, and act as our POC for 3P development projects. Development lifecycle work includes: 1) managing/overseeing our annual and quarterly planning, 2) driving visibility across the larger org by creating MBRs, QBRs, flashes, quarterly recap docs, demos, etc., 3) holding the team accountable to commitments by facilitating weekly project check ins, engaging in sprint planning, and acting as the POC for our 3P dev partners, 4) creating a backlog by owning our intake process and reviewing and prioritizing feature requests, bugs, and 5) creating a holistic tracking mechanism across the org to keep all commitments aligned. In addition to planning and accountability work, you will define and drive technical workflows for expanding our digital community, recognition, community impact, and data aggregation solutions. Finally, you will be responsible for overseeing our 3P engineering relationships, which will require executing POs, contracts, and general resourcing and reliability requests. You’ll partner closely with product and engineering to ensure the right projects are getting right level of support to meet our overall goal of delighting out customers.

The right candidate will possess a strong program management background, will have high judgement and follow-through, and will have a well-rounded background in current web technologies. This role will inform strategic initiatives, and will require you to own projects from ideation to execution and delivery. This role is inherently cross-functional and requires a strong ability to project manage, communicate, influence and earn the trust of software engineers, product teammates, stakeholders, and business leadership.

About the team
Transportation Partner Experience (TPX) is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to own our roadmap planning process, liaise with our third-party tech stack partner, and lead the technical design of new-to-market and expansion projects. TPX’s mission is simple: drive engagement, advocacy and business success among the critical functions in Amazon’s Last and Middle Mile logistics networks. We do this by building insight mechanisms and delighter programs, that connect, inform, and inspire the ecosystem of business owners who partner with Amazon.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
– 3+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
– Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
– Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
– Experience managing external relationships

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
