DESCRIPTION
Amazon’s Transactional Storage and Configuration (TSC) org builds database management systems at the core of Amazon’s consumer and digital businesses. We process trillions of transactions every day around the globe. Our Tier-1, mission-critical services fuel the growth of Amazon’s businesses, including Retail, Prime, Kindle, Alexa, and many more. The performance and availability of our platform is critical to the reliability of the Amazon brand. We operate some of the largest fleets and the highest throughput services at Amazon. We partner with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to leverage technologies built for cloud customers, and to offer technologies we invent, through AWS channels to the broader market.
We are looking for seasoned, deeply technical Principal TPM to drive the technical strategy and adaption path for the next generation the transactional storage systems that sit at the core of our platform. As a Principal TPM on Transactional Data Storage, you will chart the course to fundamentally transform how our partners and customers utilize regionally flexible storage with advanced management capabilities. In this role, you will work with high performing engineers, engineering leaders within and across orgs to define and deliver the future of storage for Amazon retail at hyper-scale. You will work across organizations spanning from business applications to our AWS infrastructure partners and drive the vision towards richer, but simpler application development, centered around data.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
– 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
– 5+ years of software development experience
– Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
– Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
