Key job responsibilities
– Develop test strategies, and automated test cases
– Build test infrastructure/environment to support manual and automation testing
– Use technical knowledge to create, execute, and maintain test plans and automation involving one or more product components and/or features
– Create and maintain automation scripts, and make configuration changes
– Troubleshoot test failures/automation failures and isolate bugs to help developers research the root cause of defects
– Perform initial defect triage and root cause analysis, and escalate roadblocks/risks
– Enhance test processes and mechanisms

The Amazon Silicon Systems Group (SSG) is part of the Amazon Devices team. We design and engineer high-profile consumer electronics, including the best-selling Echo devices. Our portfolio also includes innovative devices like Amazon Echo buds, Echo Frames and Echo Auto. What will you help us create next?
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 1+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
– Bachelor’s degree
– Experience in manual testing
– Experience in automation testing
– In-depth knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Java and ability to automate test cases
– Familiarity with automation testing tools such as Pytest, Appium, Cypress, etc…
– Working knowledge of Linux, Windows, MacOS, Cloud (AWS) environments and their development tools
– Familiarity with Hardware & Software development process and lifecycle (HDLC and SDLC)
– Good knowledge of QA methodologies and tools (TestRail, JIRA, Confluence, etc…)
– Ability to write test plans and test strategy documents
– Ability to understand functional/technical specifications and analyze data
– Ability to work both independently and being part of a team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Hands-on experience with Embedded System, Device and App testing
– Hands-on automation experience with Python and Java
– Familiar with basic wireless protocol testing (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $75,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $183,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
