DESCRIPTION
The FBA Defect Prevention and Reconciliation (DP&R) organization builds innovative technical products that recognize, reconcile, and prevent exceptions within Amazon’s end-to-end supply chain. We are the critical component for Amazon Supply Chain businesses that cater to merchants selling on Amazon (FBA) and off-Amazon: Amazon Global Logistics, Fulfillment, Warehousing&Distribution (AWD), Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF), and Buy With Prime. We are building a future where we capture, analyze, and explain every inventory defect across all stages of the supply chain (i.e. inbound, distribution, storage, fulfillment, and returns).
This role acts as a single-threaded-leader responsible for launching and expanding inventory defect cost (IDC) models for Supply Chain by Amazon (SCA) and other businesses. You will be expected to operate independently and solve complex tech challenges, working across multiple systems, including Fulfillment, Transportation, and Reimbursement Tech. This role requires the ability to understand requirements, provide recommendations, identify risks and opportunities in technical strategies and drive execution. In addition, find opportunities to simplify the architecture and engineering organizational structure. This position is responsible for making hard tradeoff decisions around extending frameworks versus establishing new architectures. This role is also responsible for writing technical proposals, onboarding partners to our services, getting alignment from stakeholders, and constructing design documents for transition to development teams to execute.
If you have an entrepreneurial spirit, love to work with data, enjoy software-related challenges, and are interested in building solutions to challenging problems that have a wide impact, this role may be for you.
