In this role, you’ll collaborate with leaders in Technical Sales, Sales Operations, Services/Engineering, and Legal teams to understand the financial implications of strategies, provide critical information for goal setting, assess investment ROI, and identify opportunities for user and business growth. This is a rapidly evolving area offering the potential to have a seat at the table and make a substantial impact on a fast-growing business.

The successful candidate will have proven experiences in past roles supporting decision-making in rapidly evolving environments. This role requires a self-starter comfortable taking the initiative, a keen attention to detail, strong data modeling skills, advanced Excel and SQL abilities, strong project management, and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations.

This role also has interaction with executives and various groups across AWS and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, this role requires strong business judgment, and desire to collaborate with others.

Key job responsibilities
• Formulate models for investment that will provide meaningful impact on the business performance from a deep understanding of the business drivers.
• Collect, analyze and manage quantitative data to create meaningful analyses and models that drive business decisions including annual goal setting.
• Dive deep on material results and trends to understand the business drivers behind the numbers.
• Work with finance technology partners to automate and simplify processes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
– Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience working with stakeholders
– 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
– 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
– MBA, or CPA
– 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
– 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
– Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
