DESCRIPTION
Amazon’s Owned Content and Channels (OCC) team is looking for a Digital Content Producer who will support content publishing on AboutAmazon.com, which aims to be the first and most trusted source of information and news about Amazon for external audiences.
The team member will own end-to-end content management, optimization, and publication for online articles and landing pages that support business communications teams across the Global Communications and Community Impact (GCCI) organization. They will support all aspects of content and partner management including, but not limited to: collaborating with partners, publishing and bar-raising articles, supporting Search Engine Optimization (SEO) efforts for new and existing content, improving reader engagement, and providing training and writing documentation. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, data-driven, and reader-focused. This team operates in a fast-paced breaking-news environment, and you’ll be expected to manage complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communications challenges while looking around corners for risk.

Key job responsibilities
• Project manage articles and pages through their lifecycle, which includes managing stakeholders and managing several projects at once
• CMS content development
• Contribute to editorial calendar planning and entry-point programming
• Coordinate recurring meetings with business communications teams to share insights and educational materials and evangelize best practices
• Develop insights and reporting using analytics tools, including A/B test experimentation
• Train other producers and editors and share learnings and best practices in a global team setting
• Conduct peer reviews to ensure articles are abiding by our style guides
A day in the life
The producer works closely with editorial and design counterparts, as well as internal comms, social, public relations, and tech teams to ensure we’re providing high-quality breaking news and informational articles to readers that satisfies their curiosity, shares new products, features, and information that is relevant for them.
About the team
The Owned Content & Channels team, which sits within the Global Communications and Community Impact organization, develops content for the general population, to educate and share news and stories about how Amazon supports our customers, employees, and communities.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations, or a related field
– 3+ years of recent professional communications, newsroom, or public relations experience
– 5+ years of digital content experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Excellent oral and written communicator, comfortable with senior management visibility
– Strong sense of editorial tone and voice
– Experience with digital editorial content in a newsroom or media outlet setting
– Familiarity with photo-editing tools
– Has worked globally and developed scalable best practices
– Experience working cross-functionally and influencing without authority
– Knowledgeable about SEO and digital media trends, and how to apply these insights to their work
– Ability to exercise high judgment in narrow time-frames
– Exceptional team player with a positive attitude who enjoys taking responsibility and making things happen

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
