The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We work backwards from our customer’s most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you’ll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. Key job responsibilities
The AWS Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) seeks a motivated, detail-oriented, data-driven, and entrepreneurial Program Manager (PM) to focus on the AWS Industries (AWSI) team. The AWSI Program Manager will be responsible for developing programs, initiatives, and mechanisms to improve business processes across the AWSI team, as well as scaling these across AWSI by partnering with various worldwide, marketing, partner, and IBU teams. They will own the team’s rhythm of business (RoB), lead team operations, resource planning, budgeting, and provide program management support for critical Go-to-Market initiatives.

This role will create order from ambiguity. They will manage business programs and earn trust with cross-functional teams. They will discover and apply insights to create new mechanisms that help build and scale the program. They will work with cross-functional teams to help customers drive transformative business outcomes through the cloud and effectively operate in a fast-moving, customer-obsessed, data-driven Amazon culture.

• Define program strategies, develop roadmaps, organize work streams and milestones, and gain buy-in across functional and regional leaders
• Execute organization-wide initiatives, including influencing and aligning stakeholders, defining project plans, assembling resources, managing implementation, and developing processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and deliver on agreed milestones, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and make trade-offs
• Establish mechanisms to align with IBU on joint customer engagements, shared solutions, external events, and reporting visibility
• Manage and create scalable programs that impact conference/event strategy, re:Invent strategy, and sales enablement
• Collaborate with Sales Ops on resources, work back schedules, 2x2s, OP1/OP2, budget tracking, and approvals

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 3+ years of program or project management experience
– 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
– Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
– Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
– Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
– 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
– Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
– Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
