Amazon continues to invent with AI to build world-class products, services and experiences across every part of its business. We are seeking a high-judgment communications professional to join our team. As Senior PR Manager for Amazon AI, you’ll work across Amazon communications – including Devices & Services, Prime Video, Stores, and more – to expand our bench of AI spokespeople and scale proactive storytelling on the ways Amazon is using generative AI to transform customer experiences. You will help us showcase the breadth and depth of our generative AI investments and innovations, and increase the quantity and quality of stories we can tell through our campaign that drives coordinated, multi-channel, company-wide AI storytelling.

The ideal candidate will be able to earn trust and establish strong rapport with senior business leaders, scientists, and communications colleagues across Amazon and AWS. The candidate will also have experience building programs; working across diverse businesses and teams; have a strong understanding of how to leverage earned, owned, paid and social media to scale impact; and have experience working to high standards under tight deadlines across broad teams. Being flexible in managing ambiguity as priorities change will be key.

About the team
This role is part of the cross-company AI Communications team within Amazon’s Communications & Corporate Responsibility (CCR) team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 10+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
– Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or a related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Proven track record of strategic planning and delivery on significant storytelling campaigns tied to measurable business, brand, and/or communications goals
– Ability to exercise high judgment in narrow time-frames
– Self-driven, entrepreneurial spirit—enjoys taking responsibility and making things happen
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $135,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $224,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
