The Transformation team diagnoses, designs for, and delivers innovative transformation, change management, and organization development solutions to drive positive, sustainable growth across the business. We are a team of transformation strategists, program leaders, systems and experience designers, and science and analytics experts ready to tackle a broad array of problems at the intersection of business and employee imperatives. We work collaboratively with other groups to drive business impact together.

Amazon Advertising, IMDb, and Grand Challenge (AIGC) is seeking an experienced transformation leader to spearhead our Transformation team and practice. As the Senior Manager, Transformation, you will be responsible for envisioning and delivering innovative organizational development and change management solutions that drive sustainable transformations across the business. Your mission will be to create human-centered transformation experiences that empower our employees to do their best work, while elevating how we deliver for our customers.

Key job responsibilities
Transformation Strategy & Design
• Anticipate transformation opportunities by staying ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, business/workforce needs
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to deeply understand cultural values, mindsets, behaviors, and opportunities
• Collaborate with customers/leaders to define transformation visions, goals, risks, strategic roadmaps from concept to execution
• Design scalable, high-impact transformation solutions (services, tools, playbooks) tailored to evolving business complexity/growth
• Continuously enhance solution designs by studying usage data, ecosystem changes, and incorporating cutting-edge practices
• Build world-class transformation capabilities by leading cross-functional teams and developing high-performing talent

Leadership & Influence
• Relentlessly advocate for the business/workforce by identifying transformation opportunities that accelerate goal achievement
• Build trusted partnerships by deeply understanding customer contexts and delivering tailored, high-impact solutions
• Effectively lead matrixed, cross-functional teams through ambiguous situations, empowering them to achieve ambitious targets
• Exhibit outstanding business acumen, applying relevant expertise to shape initiatives
• Demonstrate exceptional executive presence, communication abilities, and the gravitas to influence senior stakeholders

Organizational Development
• Effectively manage large-scale organizational changes in partnership with HR specialists, line-HR, and business leaders
• De-risk/optimize areas that enhance businesses’ ability to operate as well-designed, well-oiled machines
• Incorporate transformation solutions for re-engineering organizations, driving high-performance teams, and solving for conflicts or ambiguities in roles, responsibilities, and work processes

Experience Design & Innovation
• Lead the design and delivery of scalable, enterprise-wide transformation experiences, services, and tools that meet the evolving needs of our rapidly growing, complex, and globally dispersed businesses
• Stay at the forefront of experience design, change, marketing, and enablement practices, technologies, and methodologies
• Develop best-in-class transformation playbooks, methods, and reusable assets to scale capability-building and drive innovation
• Use audience segmentation, persona development, and journey mapping to craft compelling transformation brands/narratives

Change Management & Strategic Communication
• Expertly lead cross-functional, informal, matrixed, and dotted-line teams to maximize performance and achieve transformation goals in ambiguous, fluid environments
• Empower, motivate, and actively develop teams and stakeholders to build transformation expertise and drive shared objectives
• Develop high-impact, strategic communications (internal materials, org-wide messages, articles) that prioritize the user experience
• Set the strategic direction for and lead SMEs and partners in delivering purpose-led, resonating content across channels

Impact-Based Measurement & Continuous Improvement
• Define, track, and communicate appropriate performance measurements to stakeholders
• Collect, analyze, and continuously improve transformation methods, tools, and reusable assets based on data-driven insights
• Partner with science/analytics experts to holistically evaluate solution effectiveness using qualitative/quantitative methods
• Leverage measurement insights to drive continuous improvement of solutions and increase transformation success rates
• Advise customers/leaders/SMEs by translating analytics into clear, actionable recommendations to unlock organizational value

Travel is expected.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience leading complex, enterprise-wide transformation initiatives
• Expertise in org development disciplines including strategic workforce planning, team effectiveness, and change management
• Exceptional qualitative and quantitative research skills, including advanced analytics and statistical modeling
• Demonstrated success in customer segmentation and user research
• Proficiency in systems thinking, human-centered design, and organizational assessment approaches
• Outstanding business acumen and sound judgment to understand customer needs and shape transformation strategies
• Knowledge of systems design, automation, and cutting-edge transformation practices/technologies
• Proven ability to build trusted partnerships, lead matrixed teams, and influence senior stakeholders
• Data-driven decision making and a continuous improvement mindset
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments while effectively managing constraints
• Excellent communication and presentation skills across technical and non-technical audiences

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $148,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $245,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
