AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced candidate for its Partner Channel Programs, important drivers of AWS revenue worldwide. As a business development leader, you will drive profitable growth for the AWS Solution Provider Program, a large, high growth business. You will drive the strategy for new financial incentives, deal terms and new business models. You will partner with global partner development managers, AWS service leaders, sales leaders, finance and legal to deliver innovative business ideas for the Channel. You possess a deep understanding of cloud partner business models, digital transformation business drivers, emerging computing trends and their impact on the partner landscape.
As a business development leader, you will help architect the partnership growth strategy, including adoption of technologies and new cloud services to drive business innovation. Leveraging your expertise in partners’ global strategy and business goals, you will innovate Channel products and services helping transform our partnership engagements with new areas of business.
This position may be based out of multiple locations, including: Seattle, WA; Santa Clara, CA; Boston, MA; and Dallas, TX.
Key job responsibilities
Own AWS Solution Provider Program P&L
• Collaborate with worldwide leaders in a matrixed organization to identify joint goals around new business opportunities
• Experiment and introduce new approaches to drive incremental Channel growth which are scalable across the entire program
• Manage Channel economics and deal terms to optimize profitable growth
• Drive for technical innovation to support Channel growth and improve operational excellence

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 10+ years of building and leading large teams and working in matrixed operating structures experience
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
– Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross functional teams or equivalent
– Experience in strategic thinking about business, enterprise software products, and new technology platforms and architectures or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of managing and developing high performance teams experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $174,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $288,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
