Amazon.com is looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, and detail-oriented candidate to join the Office Products Vendor Management team. The Senior Vendor Manager will work across all functional retail areas to grow and improve their vendor partners’ success at Amazon.
The Senior Vendor Manager will possess a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact the business (this entails owning data quality monitoring, understanding and reporting on the vendors, and responsibility for driving strategic projects and promotions to achieve business objectives). The Senior Vendor Manager will manage the vendor relationship – oversee product selection and life cycle, manage day-to-day relationships, and negotiate and secure funding to support the business. The Senior Vendor Manager will work directly with vendors and to develop and execute strategies that will have a major impact on their success on Amazon.com.
The candidate possesses experience in buying, marketing, and/or finance, with a track record of successful relationship management, strong analytical acumen, and experience generating and managing reporting and analysis. Great communication skills and proficiency with Excel will be essential to the candidate’s success. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who will identify and take ownership of projects and business problems and drive them to a successful result.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
– Bachelor’s degree
– Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
– Experience using data to influence business decisions
– Experience with business analysis and P&L management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
– Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
