DESCRIPTIONThe Finance Manager – Recruiting will provide financial insights and business partnership to Amazon’s Worldwide Talent Acquisition teams. This high visibility finance role will provide reliable data and analysis to help with decision making and planning, as well as become a trusted business advisor to the leaders of our recruiting organization. The ideal candidate is a quick learner and comfortable with ambiguity. S/he possesses a keen attention to detail, has a passion for analytics, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The role entails interaction with Recruiting leadership, Finance leadership, and requires a balance of strong verbal communication and partnership skills, and delivering results.Responsibilities include: Providing business partner finance support to the leaders of Amazon’s Worldwide Recruiting teams related to demand planning, productivity, metrics, and reporting Diving deep into the financial data and becoming a subject matter expert to provide additional insights Partnering directly with the Finance Org’s and central FP&A groups to collaborate on metrics, goals, and business reviews; Building and fostering effective relationships and networks with the recruiting organization Identifying and understand business challenges and proposing and creating solutionsKey job responsibilities Providing business partner finance support to the leaders of Amazon’s Worldwide Talent Acquisition teams related to demand planning, productivity, metrics, and reporting Diving deep into the financial data and becoming a subject matter expert to provide additional insights Partnering directly with the Finance Org’s and central FP&A groups to collaborate on metrics, goals, and business reviews; Building and fostering effective relationships and networks with the recruiting organization Identifying and understand business challenges and proposing and creating solutionsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related fieldPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience- 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience- MBA, or CPA- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of resultsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
