DESCRIPTION
PLC (Policy, Legal, Communication’s) Billing is seeking a Billing Analyst to support the GCCI (Global Communications and Community Impact) and Public Policy business teams. Responsibilities include setting up new vendors as Amazon payees, opening purchase orders, processing and reviewing invoices to ensure adherence to billing requirements and timely payment, researching questions regarding status of payment, performing other billing tasks as needed, learning country-specific billing processes and acting as the billing point of contact for team members, vendors, and other internal departments in various countries.
The successful candidate will possess the ability to work efficiently and independently, manage high volumes of tasks and projects with little guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require a quick response or turnaround, take effective action without having to know the total picture, and think creatively and be proactive in solving problems that affect people within the group or other related groups. The right candidate will be client-service oriented, pay great attention to detail while still meeting tight deadlines, have strong organizational skills, and have the ability to easily switch gears. A high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information, as well as the ability to work well with people at all levels inside and outside the company is essential.
Key job responsibilities
– Manage new vendor set-ups
– Create Purchase Orders
– Research and solve outstanding invoice and payment issues
– Enforce and provide guidance regarding billing requirements
– Lead process improvement efforts, and work directly with international team members to simplify and centralize the billing process for the organization
– Work closely with PLC Finance to provide consistent messaging regarding billing and ensure accuracy in financial reporting
A day in the life
You will assist global internal teams in Legal, Public Policy, Community Impact and Corporate Communications with all their billing transactions. You will assist vendors with their payee status and payments. You will work with Finance to ensure all transactions are accurate and accounted against budgets.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Knowledge of financial controls and procedures
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $51,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $109,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
