As an Engagement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing deal strategy and delivering complex proposals that involve multiple workstreams. You will work closely with AWS teams and customer stakeholders, ensuring that proposals are aligned with strategic goals and are executed efficiently. Your role will involve overseeing the end-to-end proposal lifecycle, including pricing strategy, proposal development, and customer experience, to ensure successful proposal outcomes.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Key job responsibilities
Project Management and Execution:
– Define, plan, and manage integrated project workstreams across various strategic opportunities.
– Lead project scheduling and coordination to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.
– Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project risks.

Strategy Development and Proposal:
– Conduct market research using comps and industry reports.
– Define B2B customer experience and metrics to improve customer life cycle, increase share of wallet, pricing and products.
– Develop proposals for the Board of Directors and C-suite.

Stakeholder Communication and Reporting:
– Prepare and deliver detailed project updates and reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.
– Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders, including internal AWS teams and customer representatives, maintaining continuous communication throughout the project lifecycle.
– Collaborate with internal teams to deliver proposals that meet customer needs and align with AWS’s strategic goals.

Team Collaboration and Support:
– Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and define data requirements, ensuring they are integrated into project plans.
– Collaborate with matrix-based internal teams to resolve project challenges, align goals, and achieve project deliverables.

Accountability and Metrics:
– Take responsibility for the success of the projects, tracking performance metrics and adjusting strategies as needed to achieve business objectives.
– Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and strategic goals, including the successful delivery of proposals and execution of contracts.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience with Strategy and Proposal Development and Strategy Manager or in a similar leadership role in a large complex organization
– 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional projects, including coordinating complex schedules.
– 3+ years of experience in SWOT analysis, competitive benchmarking, and pricing strategy
– Experience delivering proposal updates and briefings to stakeholders, including senior management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Masters in Business Administration degree.
– Ability to drive innovation within the proposal development process and deliver high-impact outcomes.
– Strong written and presentation skills, particularly in conveying complex proposals to stakeholders.
– 5+ years consulting experiences.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $204,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
