The Intelligent Hosting (ICON) team is looking for a Technical Program Manager that is passionate about Amazon’s eCommerce platform technologies that host Amazon’s Global websites. The ICON team hosts Amazon websites and backend platform services that power the customer experience. We abstract and centralize infrastructure management from service teams, bring agility to business processes, and operate 100s of Tier-1 services on behalf of our internal customers. ICON is an early adopter of Amazon’s product offerings and automates the management and operational activities on behalf of developers to strengthen services’ posture towards security, availability, and efficiency so that service developers can innovate on behalf of Amazon’s end customers.

Key job responsibilities
We are looking for a passionate, deeply technical, and results-oriented Sr. Technical Program Manager to join our team and support our 20X vision by onboarding new Amazon Services to ICON for Infrastructure business. You will be responsible for the long-term ICON onboarding strategy and building support for new software services and hosting platforms within the team. In addition to customer onboarding, you will also manage planned operations that help meet our customer requests within the SLAs. You will lead and coordinate design and implementation efforts collaborating with sharp engineers and highly-engaged users, coordinating across multiple teams to develop optimal solutions in an agile environment. You will be expected to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
– 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
– 3+ years of software development experience
– Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
– Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
– Experience defining KPI’s/SLA’s used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
