The Amazon Web Services Professional Services team is looking for a Principal Manager, Security Programs who can lead and support significant customer programs during the solution and pursuit stages, develop a long-term Professional Services strategy and execute that strategy within our National Security business unit. The Principal Manager, Security Programs is a trusted advisor for our customers and the role includes all aspects of working with new and existing AWS customers including business development, deal structuring, deal support and closure, and delivery oversight in assigned accounts
You’ll have the opportunity to lead a team that create new security experiences and environments for our customers, covering topics including strategy and risk management, building and deploying security infrastructure, automating security operations, and beyond.
The ideal candidate should be a highly technical security professional who has the ability to take customers on a journey through securing their infrastructure. They will need to be able to develop highly scalable applications that adhere to cloud and security best practices.
In this role you will:
– Deliver architecture guidance, lead proof-of-concept projects, and conduct customer/partner workshops.
– Collaborate with customers and partners to address the security, risk, and compliance needs of their AWS workloads.
– Specialize in all aspects of information security management as well as business and regulatory compliance using cloud services in large-scale computing environments.
This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 10+ years of security operations or security advisory work with demonstrated track record for innovation and delivering results at scale.
– 5+ years of direct people management experience in a consulting practice
– 2+ years of experience with US Government compliance and security standards, including NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA, ICD 503
– 2+ years of practical application development experience on Linux or Windows-based systems and scripting skills (e.g. Bash, Powershell, Python, Ruby, Perl, etc.)
– Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Ability to travel to client locations in the Washington DC Metropolitan area to deliver professional services as needed
– Outstanding customer relationship management experience and collaboration skills
– Experience with design of modern, scalable delivery models for technology consulting services
– Experience with cost engineering Cloud environments to ensure Customers operating at the lowest cost per Customer footprint with integrated continuous cost improvement
– Strategic business development experience including complex agreements w/ partners and customers
– Consulting or professional services delivery experience with national security customers and/or partners
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including group leadership and executive presentations.
