Amazon’s Direct Fulfillment (DF) team is looking for a Program Manager to lead the optimization of carrier capacity as well as the back-end system routing, planning, integrations and automation of Amazon DF transportation systems. Direct Fulfillment allows Amazon to fulfill customer orders directly from our vendor’s warehouse, and is one of the fastest growing supply channels at Amazon. Expanding and optimizing transportation capability is critical to our growth. We are looking for a Program Manager to join a team that identifies, develops, and integrates innovative solutions that improve the Direct Fulfillment transportation network worldwide.

Key job responsibilities
• Be the Subject Matter Expert in the back-end Amazon transportation systems end-to-end. Design, develop, and implement solutions to more effectively utilize technical configuration or system enhancement to deliver tangible operational and customer benefits or reduce defects
• Lead carrier integration and system automation initiatives, which involve owning projects from beginning to end: working with the business stakeholders to understand the business need and the entitlement, convening a cross-functional team to create a solution, providing regular status communication, and driving the progresses of dependency teams to ensure timely delivery of the project goals
• Deliver results through extensive cross functional integration with business partners in worldwide operations, product, and technology teams, with a focus on growing DF business and improving customer experience through transportation configurations and system enhancements
• Understand and anticipate operational needs; identify, deep dive, and resolve issues surfaced through data and anecdotal input from customers, vendors, or stakeholders
• Collaborate with Carrier partners and Operations stakeholders to secure, expand, and optimize transportation capacity to support business growth

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 3+ years of program or project management experience
– 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
– Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
– Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
– Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech teams experience
– 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
– Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
– Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
– Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
