The Devices Reverse Logistics organization is looking for a Regional Business Operations Manager who is process driven and innovative in their approach, comfortable working autonomously in a global business environment where changing priorities are common. The Business Operations team is an important function team that helps drive the growth, operational expansion, emerging market strategy and business alignment. Through annual planning, goal setting, optimizing return processing and disposition workflows, and driving continuous improvement in the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the reverse logistics operation. This position requires the ability to plan, organize, and implement process improvements while managing and building vendor relationships while driving accountability.

The successful candidate will have an expertise in reverse logistics operations, with a proven track record of developing and implementing strategies to enhance process efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the customer experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to leverage data-driven insights to inform decision-making. Experience launching new reverse logistics initiatives or programs in developing markets is highly preferred. The Regional Business Operation Manager must be a strategic thinker who can effectively balance day-to-day operations with long-term planning and execution. Excellent communication, cross-functional collaboration, and project management capabilities are critical to success in this role.

Key job responsibilities
1. Driving the growth, operational expansion, and emerging market strategy for the Devices Reverse Logistics organization.
2. Optimizing return processing and disposition workflows to improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the reverse logistics operation.
3. Implementing process improvements and driving continuous improvement across the reverse logistics operations.
4. Managing and building relationships with vendors to ensure accountability and alignment.
5. Leveraging data-driven insights to inform decision-making and enhance process efficiency.
6. Developing and implementing strategies to reduce costs and improve the customer experience in the reverse logistics operations.
7. Launching new reverse logistics initiatives or programs in developing markets.
8. Oversight of site operations while developing key performance indicator metrics and mechanisms to effectively manage site performance.
9. Effectively balancing day-to-day operations with long-term planning and execution.
10. Demonstrating excellent communication, cross-functional collaboration, and project management capabilities.
11. Providing strategic thinking and decision-making to drive the overall success of the Devices Reverse Logistics organization.

A day in the life
An average day could involve meeting with site operational teams to review execution and performance. Working with them on performance blockers and improvements, while developing future operational strategies to move the business forward. In addition, a candidate would be developing and executing operational strategy for emerging markets within the Americas.

About the team
The Devices Reverse Logistics team manages, develops and executes the global return strategy for Amazon Devices. The team provides return solutions for every region throughout the globe where Amazon Device sales are present.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
– Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
– Experience with end to end product delivery
– Experience in Operations and Business management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
– Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
– MBA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
