DESCRIPTION
Amazon is looking for a PR Manager to promote developer tools and technologies for the Devices and Services PR team. This role requires a high-judgement, seasoned, technical public relations professional who will own the development of strategic communications for developer and enterprise audiences.
You will work effectively in a matrixed global organization, quickly building effective cross-functional working relationships. You will have the technical experience required to develop messaging and launch plans that resonate with a developer/enterprise audience, have deep working relationships with media, effectively work with external brands on joint PR initiatives, be an excellent writer, and exercise good judgment while acting with bias for action. As part of the role, you will work with key business and marketing leaders to provide counsel on business decisions, manage complicated launches, reactive issues, and news cycles, and develop and execute communications strategies that build developer trust.

Key job responsibilities
• Define and execute communications programs geared towards developer and enterprise audiences
• Work cross-functionally to plan and execute cross-channel communications plans
• Regularly interact with business and marketing teams to plan for launches and mitigate risks around product offerings
• Develop, strengthen, and maintain relationships with key technology and business journalists
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
– Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
– Depth of experience in developer, enterprise or B2B communications
– Experience working with the media proactively to accomplish business goals

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
