Security is “job zero” at Amazon, by which we mean it’s even more important than any number one priority. Amazon Security Finance is a key strategic partner to senior Security leaders. We help build a strong security culture by owning financial planning, controllership, and reporting to a growing Security business team.

This Finance Manager will be an integral part of our Amazon Security Finance team. The scope goes beyond merely planning and reporting the numbers to understanding the underlying trends, driving accuracy in forecasting, surfacing insights, and responding to questions from senior leadership. The successful candidate will be able to interpret financial results and effectively communicate a business narrative.

Key job responsibilities
– Serve as a finance leader within the Amazon Security finance team supporting Devices and Kuiper Security teams, including input on business strategy, team development, and management of planning processes.

– Regular weekly & monthly reporting that influences business decisions and and strategy.

– Develop and maintain scalable financial models that drive planning decisions, enables controllership, and gives visibility to business drivers.

– Perform various ad hoc analyses to help leaders solve business problems and understand the financial implications.

– Be able to thrive and deliver results in an ambiguous, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
– 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
– 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
– EXPORT CONTROL REQUIREMENT – Kuiper Security Finance
– Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
– 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
– MBA, or CPA
– Knowledge of SQL/ETL
– Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
