DESCRIPTION

The Regulatory Intelligence, Safety and Compliance (RISC) team’s charter is to protect Amazon customers from products that are illegal, illegally marketed, unsafe, or otherwise prohibited by Amazon policies.

The Risk Manager will own analysis and risk assessment activities required to formulate WW product safety polices. They will serve as our go-to subject matter expert for difficult questions regarding the optimal policies required to make scalable decisions related to product safety.

In this role, you will work closely with corporate counsel, legal, business teams, selling partner experience and support teams, operational excellence, product, BI and data science/engineering teams to deliver high-impact end to end healthcare compliance solutions.

Think of this role as a non-technical “solution architect” where you will be given the autonomy to develop a strategy and build effective controls to ensure WW customer safety.

A day in the life
• Identify and develop policies needed to ensure a consistent store experience for our customers
• Work with partner AI Science and tech teams to translate store policies so tools can be trained to accurately comply with policy
• Identify and address high risk gaps and monitor potential risk areas
• Evaluate and calibrate policy effectiveness to assess and refine policy outcomes
• Collaborate with global partners to explore additional areas to refine policy and preserve customer trust
• Ensure ongoing governance and discover scalable solutions to increase model training efficiency

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
– 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
– Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship
– Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
– Experience handling confidential information
– Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to clearly communicate complex and technical subject matter to a diverse group of stakeholders
– Experience in operations, investigations, risk management, incident or crisis management, or handling escalations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Master’s degree or equivalent
– Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
– Experience at consulting firms or equivalent
– Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
– Demonstrated experience setting direction and delivering detail-oriented results in environments with frequently shifting priorities
– Experience working with geographically distributed teams within a complex international organization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
