DESCRIPTION
The Global Fleet and Products (GFP) team’s mission is to provide the vehicles and services that enable Amazon to delight customers with our last mile (AMZL) operations. GFP is on track to decarbonize the last mile fleet as part of Amazon’s Climate Pledge. The AMZL Energy team within Amazon’s GFP organization is looking for a Sr. Technical Principal Program Manager (TPM) to lead cross-functional programs that support our charging infrastructure and Electric Vehicle (EV) fleet. This role will lead ambiguous technical programs that are required to scale the rollout of charging infrastructure with the deployment of the EV fleet. The Sr. TPM will leverage expertise in electrical system design to develop and execute program level plans to improve EV Charging Infrastructure reliability. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a proven track record of designing, operating and maintaining electrical systems.
Key job responsibilities
– Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to identify and charter new technical initiatives that are required to improve the scalability of EV Charging Infrastructure
– Develop and improve maintenance programs and policies for electrical systems at Delivery Stations (last mile), including audits of existing programs in compliance with local codes and global standards
– Escalate risks to the relevant owners and teams (up to the VP level), and drive resolution on the path forward.
– Support product, engineering, operations, construction, and other relevant departments with product development and testing
– Audit electrical system maintenance practices globally to identify deviations and corrective actions.
– Conduct equipment failure investigation and provide mitigation solutions
– Manage through the complexity of managing multiple programs at the same time
– Lead cross-functional teams (including Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Commissioning, Power Utilities, Products, Tech, Finance, Maintenance, Vendors, etc.) to plan and execute programs and deploy them on the road
About the team
The AMZL Energy and Infrastructure team is responsible for delivering, maintaining, and powering the infrastructure needed to ensure our customers can be served by the lowest carbon intensive delivery fleet in the world. Within AMZL Energy, the Electrification and In-Life Services teams leads end-to-end project planning for EV charging infrastructure and utility services projects and owns the Operations and Maintenance mechanisms to improve charging uptime. We support all aspects of planning and execution across the Electrification space.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
– 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
– Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
– Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
– Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations in electrical engineering (e.g., IEEE, IEC)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering
– Experience in Electrical Systems supporting EV Charging Infrastructure

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
