What to Expect
As a Sr. Tesla Fire Protection Designer, you will be responsible for fire sprinkler design utilizing HydraCAD and BIM coordination of the following systems: Wet and Dry Fire Sprinkler System; Pre-action and Deluge Fire Sprinkler System; Water Mist; Foam; Automatic Standpipes; and Fire Pumps. You will utilize CAD/REVIT software to provide support to Self-Perform Construction Team by preparing routine layouts of fire sprinkler systems, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches and diagrams.
What You’ll Do
Review documents and coordinate internally with the design team/construction and possible subcontractors to gather the required information to design the projects sprinkler system 
Create detailed drawings through extensive use of HydraCAD  
Submit packages for review and approval to AHJ for permit 
Involved in BIM coordination 
Perform hydraulic calculations 
Create stock lists for all material required throughout the project 
Maintain design historical records for future use 
What You’ll Bring
Degree in Fire Protection Engineering or equivalent experience  
NICET Level II or higher or Fire Protection Engineer certifications required 
Demonstrated ability with AutoCAD, HydraCAD (or similar), REVIT and Navisworks 
Proven ability and track record of performing work in a timely manner and meeting deadlines 
4 or more years of experience in commercial and industrial design
Strong communication skills 
Willing to coordinate and collaborate with others
