What to Expect
Tesla CDL Drivers support raw material deliveries from yard, and offsite warehousing to the Gigafactory. They are essential for essential for maintaining smooth operations by safely transporting materials and products, contributing to timely deliveries and reducing potential logistical delays.
What You’ll Do
Daily truck and trailer inspection
Vehicle cleaning including wash and minor detailing
Obtaining scale weights and refueling
Capable of performing material handling practices within the warehouse environment in between loads
Miscellaneous jobs as required
What You’ll Bring
Valid Driver’s License with Class A CDL and current DOT Physical Examination medical card
TSA driver hazardous materials endorsement required and 48′ – 53′ tractor trailer hauling experience preferred
Great work ethic & team player – level headed, detail oriented, safety contentious, courteous, flexible, punctual, professional, and customer focused
Accurately maintain daily driver log-book, pre-check, and post-check of truck. Ability to maintain a clean driving record with a high level of safety awareness on the roadways
Ability to lift and move heavy boxes (up to 60 pounds) and manually pallet jack heavy material on/off trucks. Forklift Certification training a plus; will be required to operate on occasion
Knowledge of local major and minor roadways and adherence to federal motor carrier safety regulations / DOT guidelines
Good communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to follow instructions
