Tesla is committed to having industry-leading uptime in our deployed fleet of stationary battery storage solutions. We use data collected from our highly connected systems to find problems before the customer does and to systematically eliminate the causes of downtime. The Tesla Service Engineering Infrastructure and Analytics team is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join the team developing the software that supports Tesla’s service response to failures that occur in our fleet. You will build systems that ingests data and delivers the insights required to determine what is going wrong in the Tesla Energy fleet, and then how to fix those problems.
What You’ll Do
Build custom services to deliver the data that powers insights into the health of the energy fleet
Be able to deliver both large and small features, ensuring quality is consistent regardless of size and scope of work
Work with other platform teams within Tesla, ensuring we are advocating for better interfaces wherever possible
Contribute to the product roadmap, working closely with the teams that use our tools to constantly improve the effectiveness of the service team
What You’ll Bring
Degree in computer science or equivalent experience
Experience building backends in Golang
Experience with event driven architectures
Experience with CICD practices
Experience with k8s
Proven cross-functional collaborative skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
An ability to prioritize and execute many tasks in parallel
Experience with battery systems and power systems
Experience with big data
