What to ExpectWe are the engineers behind the world’s largest fleet of
smart energy storage systems as well as the Tesla Supercharger network. We are
seeking a talented, motivated, and independent engineer to join the team that
works on the heart and soul of Tesla’s Energy products. Our team writes the app
for the Tesla Site Controller. This application is responsible for managing all
the devices on a customer site, including the solar, batteries, generators,
vehicle chargers, power meters, and more. It also handles communication with
the Tesla cloud and provides data used by the customer-facing mobile apps. We
deliver exciting features that enable customers to do things like take their
house off the electrical grid, charge a vehicle with solar energy, or even
power entire communities using renewable energy. The Site Manager app and its
libraries are all written in Golang and run on an embedded Linux machine. An
ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of multi-threaded programming
concepts, an understanding of Linux systems, a familiarity with object-oriented
design and principles, and an eagerness to keep learning in an ever-evolving
