What to ExpectIn the Staff Global Fleet Health Engineer, Industrial Storage role, you will resolve fleet wide maintenance and serviceability challenges to ensure that Tesla meets its contractual and performance obligations for a rapidly growing fleet of energy storage sites. This role is an integral part of developing processes and tools to effectively track and highlight risks against operational contractual obligations, and leading technical and commercial discussions on fleet maintenance and efficient obligation delivery.The primary role of the Staff Global Fleet Health Engineer, Industrial Storage will be to leverage the incredible amounts of real-world performance and maintenance data to drive fleet wide improvements by identifying trends and determining effective strategies to improve key fleet health metrics. An ideal candidate has a solid grasp of operations and maintenance activities for power generation equipment, device and site level analytics and a demonstrated ability to work across functional teams towards delivery of contractual obligations.What You’ll Do
Perform
frequent fleet wide reviews to identify common failures and frequent sources of
unavailability. Develop cross team strategies for appropriate resolution Evaluate
maintenance readiness across the fleet and ensure obligations can be met across
different contracts and service level agreementsInvestigate
and explain trends in historical fleet performance and relay them to Service
Engineering and Asset Management leadership, with recommendations for fleet
actions to drive improvements in service metricsDesign and
maintain reporting infrastructure to collect, organize, and present data in the
form of reports, presentations, graphs, and spreadsheets, providing actionable
insights on performance, status, and problem historiesWork with
Data Analysts, Service Engineering and Operations teams to automate and
streamline processesIndependently
handle multiple projects at a time meeting objectives and deadlines
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or
equivalent experienceMinimum of
7 years of experience in an operations and maintenance, performance analytics,
or technical asset management roleSelf-motivated,
collaborative individual who can work across teamsComprehensive
understanding of Engineering Drawings (Electrical, Instrumentation &
Controls) used in large scale battery storage projectsStrong
knowledge of power generation equipment, SCADA control and HMI systemsExcellent
written and verbal communication and presentation skillsA
demonstrable track record of successfully managing the performance of
operational assets is a plus
