What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a world-class CAE/CFD engineer with strong background in fluid mechanics and thermal engineering to play a critical role in development of Tesla’s next generation products. By applying engineering fundamentals and using state-of-the-art modeling tools, we help pushing the boundaries of battery technology and create revolutionary vehicle designs. This role involves collaboration with several cross functional teams and working on all Tesla vehicle programs. You will apply your expertise in problems solving using analytical and numerical approaches to drive design innovation, optimize performance, overcome challenges, and develop new methodologies.
What You’ll Do
Create CAE/CFD and thermal models of the battery and vehicle to solve various engineering problems and design challengs
Provide guidance and support design and manufacturing teams based on the modeling results
Conduct engineering analysis to the finest details to find solutions for technical problems, improve designs and processes, and reduce cost
Perform advanced coupled multi-physics simulations to evaluate and enhance sub-systems and full vehicle performance
Perform post-test reviews and corroborate the CAE and CFD predictions to test results
Guide performance validation by helping with test planning, setup design and development, instrumentation, execution, root cause analysis, and data processing
Develop highly predictive models of materials and processes to enable good correlations with physical tests
Produce concise management summaries and report-outs that meet the needs of management functions
Work collaboratively with CAE, design, test engineering and manufacturing teams
What You’ll Bring
