We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager who will support the Interior Direct Procurement team by developing advanced Should-Cost Models, analytical tools and systems to ensure we can make first principles-based decision on spend. This role will provide exposure and opportunities to collaborate with a wide range of business functions including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Design and Finance. What You’ll Do
Develop ground up based Should-Cost Models for multiple commodities, across several different manufacturing processes and product sets
Understand manufacturing processes and related CapEx, tooling, labor, raw material costs and other inputs needed to manufacture components that drive cost
Create databases and systems to be able to track cost and spend data, at both the CapEx and component level
Develop and track program spend and report outwards regarding budget status
Work cross-functionally with Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance
Standardize reporting of cost down initiatives between Engineering and Finance
Ensure cost down projects have resources appropriately allocated and are meeting timelines dictated by Program Management; identify trends in current costing to help inform current and future design decisions
What You’ll Bring
Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, evidence of experience and exceptional ability, or equivalent experience
4+ years of experience in supply chain management, or commodity management
Technical and commercial understanding of tooling and manufacturing processes
Experience with mechanical engineering concepts related to the automotive interiors and ability to generate bottom-up should costs based on the understanding of manufacturing process
Proficient knowledge of technical requirements and design of the product and be able to influence cross functional partners with detailed analysis that supports optimized pricing and product sourcing decisions
