What to Expect
This role will support the production of high quality seats assembly through the continual improvement of process and product quality.
What You’ll Do
Lead efforts with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and production teams to ensure design drawings, manufacturing instructions, inspection instructions, tooling are consistent and complete
Lead problem-solving teams; use of QA methodologies to manage and facilitate issue resolution including root cause investigations and the development, implementation and monitoring of effective corrective and preventive actions
Support the development of Design and Process FMEA
Establish and maintain control plans to assure critical features are controlled through the assembly/production processes
Conducting the capability studies and implementing SPC’s controls
Lead/facilitate review and disposition of discrepant materials identified for control of nonconforming product
Establish quality performance metrics and drive issues to true root cause solutions
Audit manufacturing line against released manufacturing processes and procedures
Lead/perform product containment activities and arrange for disposition
Support and generate continuous improvement ideas and work on cost reduction projects
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or with equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in automotive seating or interiors (JIT preferred)
Familiarity with compliances and Legal requirement of automotive seating regulation
Experience in GD&T and Quality systems in a manufacturing environment
Training and demonstrated success in applying quality problem solving methods such as fishbone diagrams, FMEA, process capability analysis, hypothesis testing, DoE, SPC, Six Sigma etc.
