We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ergonomist to join our Global Energy EHS team. In this pivotal role, you will pioneer proactive strategies to reduce ergonomic-related trends and cultivate a culture of industrial athletes. Your mission will be to ensure an efficient and thriving workforce equipped to meet the demands of the future. This position demands more than just a deep understanding of ergonomics and biomechanics; it requires a visionary leader who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to integrate health and safety into the very fabric of our operations. Located in Fremont, California, the position requires frequent and extended travel based on business needs.
What You’ll Do
Develop and implement comprehensive ergonomic programs and initiatives that align with the company’s goals and objectives
Conduct ergonomic assessments and analyses to identify risk factors and recommend corrective actions to prevent injuries and enhance workplace performance
Collaborate with various departments, including design, engineering, and safety, to integrate ergonomic principles into product and tool design, processes, and practices
Develop and deliver ergonomic training and education programs for employees and management to build awareness and competency in ergonomic best practices
Monitor and analyze injury and illness data to identify trends and areas for improvement and develop strategies to reduce ergonomic-related events.
Serve as a subject matter expert on ergonomics, providing guidance and support to various teams and projects
Keep abreast of the latest ergonomics and occupational health research and developments, and incorporate innovative solutions into the company’s ergonomic programs
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Ergonomics, Human Factors, Kinesiology, Occupational Therapy, or a related field; Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) or equivalent certification preferred or equivalent experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in ergonomics, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing setting
Deep understanding of ergonomic principles, biomechanics, and occupational health and safety regulations
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of conducting comprehensive ergonomic assessments and analyses
Proven capability to work effectively in a fast-paced global organization, leveraging a ‘first-principles’ approach to drive results
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing change at all organizational levels
Proficiency in ergonomic assessment tools and software, along with the MS Office 365 Suite
