The Tesla Technical Training Instructor – Safety will take responsibility for delivering courses, mentoring technicians and engineers in areas of industrial safety. The ideal candidate would bring applicable industry experience to the table and will be armed with an innovative problem-solving ability.

What You’ll Do
Train and certify Tesla technicians and engineers in fall protection, lock-out tag-out, arc flash protection, high voltage awareness, advanced high voltage training, and confined space awareness
Partner with EHS and other training stakeholders to ensure compliance with OSHA safety requirements and monitor facility trends to proactively address training gaps
Create and deliver course materials (e.g., PowerPoints, handouts, assessments) and lead both classroom and online training modules on various technical topics
Schedule and conduct training sessions to meet demand across all Tesla site locations
Collaborate with production management, engineering, maintenance, quality, and subject matter experts to gather technical information on manufacturing processes and technologies
Monitor human error trends post-training to evaluate effectiveness and implement improvements
Cross-train on additional safety topics in collaboration with the EHS department
What You’ll Bring
3+ years of training experience within a manufacturing environment, with hands-on experience in areas like fall protection, aerial lift, confined space entry, high voltage electrical work, lock-out tag-out, or forklift truck usage
Proficiency in developing training programs and materials, including student assessments, and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to create and deliver effective training
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office 2013 or later, and familiarity with “Learning Management System” is a plus
Demonstrated knowledge of production processes and systems, including workflow, safety, and software applications
Experience as a team-oriented self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet objectives in a dynamic environment
Flexibility in working hours, including occasional weekend work
