What to ExpectAs a Business Systems Analyst on the Vehicle Engineering team, you will play a crucial role at Tesla by analyzing business systems data related to a complex landscape of design technology. This is a high leverage role for the entire business; the trends, patterns, and opportunities that you discover will influence every vehicle and energy product we produce. You will work across every design team, as well as procurement and finance teams, to make your impact. What You’ll Do Collect, analyze, and interpret software usage data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies Create compelling data visualizations using commercial business intelligence (BI) tools or customized solutions to track business outcomes Conduct cost-benefit analyses for potential internal software investments versus optimizing license usage of commercial software Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and policies Manage and optimize software licenses using applications such as OpenLM, Flexera, etc. Utilize data analysis tools such as SQL, Tableau, Python, PowerBI, etc. Understand design engineering needs and software evaluation frameworks What You’ll Bring Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience Proven experience in data analysis and visualization Proficiency with BI tools and languages (SQL, Tableau, Python, PowerBI, etc.) Experience with engineering software and license optimization Strong understanding of design engineering needs and software evaluation frameworks Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and influence stakeholders Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
