What to Expect

We are seeking a highly self-motivated Engineer for a position in Manufacturing Engineering, a team focused on creating production processes for Seats Manufacturing. The successful candidate will have extensive theoretical and hands-on experience in all facets of various joining technologies and related equipment, as well as experience managing new product introductions, equipment projects (new installations) and process optimization, upgrades & modifications.

What You’ll Do
Stabilize structures welding process in manufacturing environment
Manage spares, monitor preventive maintenance to ensure the equipment are operating at optimal level
Ensure daily quality checks are being followed and documented
Ensure all process changes are being documented and tracked
Ensure weld data, weld parameters, and software is being backed up at scheduled intervals
Develop parameters to ensure that all weld cells are performing at optimum levels
Improve overall quality/throughput/availability of all weld cells
Train and develop a team of technicians for sustained growth
Explore new technologies for equipment health monitoring, safety and quality improvements
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or with equivalent experiences
Experience in automotive and/or manufacturing industry is preferred
5+ years’ experience with the following welding and mechanical joining equipment and processes: Self pierce riveting and auto Bolting
Experiences with the following welding and joining processes will be plus: flow drill screw, clinching, adhesive bonding, and hybrid bonding
Experience in setting up and running mechanical joining monitoring systems is required
Experience in laser welding is preferred; familiarity with CAD design, industrial manufacturing material and machining will be a plus
Experience in joining of dissimilar materials is preferred
