What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our Facilities team at our Gigafactory in Austin, Tx.  This individual will identify and resolve reliability issues while maintaining and continuously improving the reliability program.

What You’ll Do
Drive continuous improvement of reliability program through development and use of Criticality Screening, RCM, FMEA, and RCA tools that support Facilities EHSS and operational commitments
Lead asset strategy development of all Facilities systems and asset types (mechanical, gas & chem, water, fire/life safety, instrument/controls, electrical) and fully implement into CMMS system
Ensure integrity and optimize lifecycle cost of Facilities assets through appropriate task selection/implementation including preventative, predictive, sparing, operational, and redesign strategies
Develop tools, workflows, and other documentation as needed to support reliability program success
Define and manage KPIs while building data-based recommendations that drive team performance
Provide reliability expertise including real-time coaching and problem-solving support for all functions of Facilities team, including Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and other functions/teams as needed
What You’ll Bring
Subject matter expertise in asset integrity as it relates to Facilities systems and asset types, fixed equipment and/or rotating equipment experience strongly preferred
5+ years of experience in leading and implementing asset strategies utilizing RCM, FMEA, and/or LCCA methodologies
Strong working knowledge of CMMS, inventory management, and maintenance planning/scheduling processes; CMMS migration experience is a plus
Experience integrating operability and maintainability best practices into owner requirements and design review processes is required
Proven track record of driving and deploying standard workflow, information flows, technical specifications, and/or strategies that support continuous improvement is desired
Proficiency in applying design and post-construction industry standards for asset integrity of Facilities assets/systems including knowledge of compliance drivers
Strong interpersonal skills are required to influence and support transformation at all levels of a multifunctional, matrixed organization
