What to Expect
Consider before submitting an application:
This position is expected to start around January 2025 and continue through the entire Winter term (i.e. through May 2025) or into Summer 2025 if available. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships.
International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

About the Team
Tesla is expanding the Infotainment Applications software team. We’re responsible for building in-car user interfaces, productivity applications (phone, calendar, browser), entertainment (media streaming and video games), autopilot visualization, and our mobile application. This team’s work is front and center of Tesla’s vehicle fleet, with millions of customers around the world experiencing and interacting with their software as the primary interface to the vehicle. We are looking forhighly motivated frontend software students to help create, develop, and evolve Tesla’s in-vehicle customer experiences. What You’ll Do
Design, architect, implement and debug game platform interfaces and systems
Rapidly prototype and own fun in-car customer experiences
Work with a cross-functional team of Software Engineers, QA, Designs, Hardware engineers and Game Developers
Communicate with game development and publishing partners
What You’ll Bring
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field with a gradation date between 2025 – 2026
Able to relocate and work on site in Palo Alto, CA
Proficiency in C++
Excellent grasp of fundamental computer science concepts
Experience writing and shipping customer-facing code
Willingness to learn new technologies in any area of the stack
Experience using common design patterns in the software industry
Experience working with multithreaded applications
Experience building user interfaces and/or consumer facing applications is a plus
