What to Expect
Auto Claims Specialist with the ability to communicate compassionately and effectively to resolve moderate exposure insurance claims. This person will also provide outstanding customer service and have the ability to handle a large volume of claims. This role will be working claims on a full claim ownership basis as the main point of contact for the customer until the claim has been resolved.
What You’ll Do
Analyze, review, and interpret policies to assess coverage and liability
Handle moderate to high complexity claims, including but not limited to contributory and comparative negligence, multi-vehicle losses with complex liability up to 4 vehicle, complex coverage investigations, property damage limits issues, claims involving SIU investigations, claims where insureds and claimants are represented by attorneys
Establish and maintain proper loss and expense reserves on all managed claims
Determine what investigation is necessary on more complicated claims to bring a claim to an equitable conclusion for all parties involved
Document, verify and review damages
Make timely payments to insureds, claimants and shops
Daily contact with independent and other carrier adjusters, appraisers, insureds, claimants, attorneys, vendors, agents, and other related parties
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience handling claims, including understanding and interpreting auto policies
Knowledge of and adherence to the state laws and regulations governing the handling of auto liability claims as well as an understanding of insurance, claims, mathematics, construction, and auto physical damage
State adjuster’s license where domiciled or must obtain and adjuster’s license within 90 days of employment if not already active
Non-resident adjuster’s license where required in the states where we do business
Exceptional organization skills while moving from task to task in a high pace environment
Effective verbal and written communication skills
