What to Expect

We’re looking for a Data Engineer focused on the SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) Compliance Automation. They will  play a critical role in ensuring that our company’s financial reporting processes are accurate, secure, and in compliance with regulatory standards. This position involves designing and implementing automated systems that help maintain the integrity of financial data and ensure that all processes adhere to SOX requirements. 

What You’ll Do
Design and implement automated solutions to ensure compliance with SOX requirements, focusing on the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial data
Develop and maintain scripts, workflows, and processes that automatically monitor, audit, and report on key financial controls
Collaborate with auditors and compliance teams to ensure that automated systems meet regulatory standards and facilitate efficient audits
Build and manage data pipelines that collect, process, and store financial data from various systems, ensuring it meets SOX compliance requirements
Implement ETL processes that securely and efficiently transform raw data into usable formats for reporting and auditing
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and timeliness throughout the data lifecycle, from ingestion to reporting
Optimize data processing workflows to reduce latency, improve reliability, and minimize the risk of non-compliance
Lead initiatives to continuously improve the automation of compliance processes, reducing manual effort and increasing accuracy
What You’ll Bring
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
Experience with data pipeline and ETL tools (e.g.Airflow)
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Vertica, MySQL) as well as NoSQL databases
Expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and managing large-scale data environments
Experience with data integration from multiple sources, ensuring data consistency and integrity
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with compliance, finance, and audit teams
Experience working in a financial or highly regulated industry is a strong plus
