What to Expect
As a concrete finisher and installer, you will be expected to contribute on jobsites in Northern California and Southern California, the Southwest US, and Pacific Northwest US. This is a travel-based position for which nearly all workwill occur on the road. Job durations will range from 1-3 weeks and will beundertaken by a cross-functional team of 2-3 members handling all trades required to get the work done together. The crew will remain consistent throughout the job and from job to job allowing for team cohesion and improvement as a group. This team will be expected to push the limits of construction technology and techniques and, as such, will have direct feedback contact withdesign engineers, project managers, and business developers related to the program. A well-qualified applicant will have experience in many aspects ofcivil underground utility installation. The role will be asked to workalongside and participate in various trades and train new employees and educate other members of the organization about the complexities of construction implementation. In between concrete projects, the candidate will be trained to support Powerpack and Solar panel installation.
What You’ll Do
Minimum 4+ years in concrete framework, site layout, and concrete finish. Minimum 4+ years of verifiable experience as a Carpenter
Obsessive attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship
The ability to read and understand drawings andspecifications as well as to contribute to creating field use drawings
Strong working knowledge of job site safety with theability to thoroughly evaluate job hazards and complete pre-work task planning with an emphasis on identifying hazards
Must have strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with all levels of management; must have a high degree of initiative, and the ability to work alone and effectively with other people
Extensive knowledge in using hand and power tools
The ability to think outside the box and find innovative solutions
What You’ll Bring
Ability to produce parts lists and work plans based ondrawings or field walks
Ability to produce as-built drawings for work performed
Ability to complete job scopes outside of typical core competencies as required
Personal hand tools, tool belts, and other small personal tools(power tools are company provided)
Experience operating excavator, bobcat, scissor lifts, boomlifts, and forklifts is a plus
