What to Expect
Technical expert in Tool & Die with advanced skills in welding, CNC machining, and die making. Proficient in using hand tools and experienced with Class A automotive dies. Responsible for die maintenance and repair to uphold production standards. Must be flexible with shifts and available for overtime.
What You’ll Do
Administer and optimize die preventive maintenance (PM) system and ensure adherence to PM schedules
Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of die defects
Oversee and refine die preparation and trial processes
Manage and update die spare parts inventory, ensuring availability and readiness
Implement and monitor die cleaning protocols and schedules
Develop and deploy systems to minimize stamping defects and enhance productivity
Conduct and support Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for dies, focusing on risk mitigation and control
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience in automotive die maintenance
Minimum 5 years of experience with Class A automotive dies, including expertise in welding, CNC machining, and die fabrication
Skilled in using hand tools and experience with large transfer dies and aluminum stamped panels
Proficient in Toyota Production System (TPS), General Motors Systems (GMS), or similar production methodologies
Experience with dimensional inspection tools and methods, such as CMM and vision systems
Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to perform under pressure and manage tight deadlines
